The Perspective Moderation Bot ("Perspective Moderation") is designed to assist Discord server moderators in managing and reviewing reported content within their communities. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of data collected, how it is used, and the measures taken to ensure the security and privacy of user information.

Perspective Moderation collects the following information:

• * User ID of the person who made the report, primarily for spam detection. This ID is never made available outside of the database.
• * Server ID associated with the report.
• * Information about the reported user (ID, username, avatar URL) to provide context to moderators.
• * If the report is for a message:
  • * Channel ID and message ID.
  • * Some or all of the message content.
  • * Direct URL to the message.
• * If the report is for a nickname change:
  • * The nickname at the time of the report.

3. Purpose of Data Collection

The collected data serves the following purposes:

• * Spam detection and prevention.
• * Providing context to moderators for reviewing reports.
• * Allowing moderators to view and take action on reported content.
• * Displaying information about reported users.

4. Data Retention

Data is retained until the report is resolved or one month has elapsed since the report was made, whichever comes first.

All collected data is stored in a secure, password-protected database to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.

6. Third-Party Integration

Perspective Moderation utilizes the Perspective API for content analysis. Messages and nickname changes are sent through the Perspective API, and its terms and privacy policy can be found here and here, respectively. The "Do Not Store" value is included in the request to prohibit the storage of information by the Perspective API.

7. Future Data Usage

In the future, collected data may be made available on a Perspective Moderation website, which will be protected behind a Discord OAuth login flow.
